Description: Carob Powder is produced from the dried pods of Ceratonia siliqua, an evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. The carob tree typically grows 10–15 meters tall and develops thick branches, leathery leaves, and elongated pods that mature to a deep brown colour. These pods are naturally dense and fibrous, forming the primary raw material used for carob-based ingredients.
When processed into powder, carob retains its characteristic brown colour and fine, smooth texture. The powder reflects the natural composition of the dried pods, offering uniform particle size and consistent appearance. Its finely milled form allows it to blend evenly into dry mixtures, formulations, and recipes where a fruit-based powder is required.
Fully matured carob pods are harvested, cleaned to remove surface debris, and dried under controlled conditions to reduce moisture while maintaining their structural integrity. After drying, the pods are mechanically ground into a fine powder and sifted to remove coarse particles. This multi-step process ensures consistent texture, stable quality, and uniform particle size suitable for culinary and creative applications.
Uses: Carob Powder is used in culinary preparations, baking blends, beverage mixes, dessert formulations, and flavouring applications. It is also suitable for natural colouring projects, botanical craft blends, educational ingredient kits, and creative formulations that require a finely milled fruit powder with consistent texture and colour.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
