Part Used: Purified camphor derived from the wood of Cinnamomum camphora, finely ground

Description: Camphor Powder is a refined botanical material obtained from Cinnamomum camphora, an evergreen tree native to East Asia and widely cultivated in subtropical regions. The tree can grow up to 20–30 meters in height and is characterized by glossy green leaves and aromatic wood. Camphor occurs naturally within the wood.

Cinnamomum camphora wood contains naturally occurring aromatic compounds that crystallize during processing. When converted into powder form, camphor retains its dry, free-flowing texture and strong aromatic profile. The finely ground material disperses evenly and maintains consistent particle size, making it suitable for applications requiring uniformity and purity.

Camphor Powder is produced by processing wood chips of Cinnamomum camphora through steam distillation to separate volatile components. The vapour is cooled, allowing camphor to condense and crystallize. These crystals are then purified, dried, and mechanically milled into a fine powder. The powder is screened to ensure uniform particle size, resulting in a clean, stable botanical product with consistent aroma and appearance. The finished powder is white to translucent in appearance with a characteristic sharp, aromatic scent.

Uses: Camphor Powder is used in incense blends, aromatic preparations, ritual applications, and botanical craft projects. It is commonly incorporated into resin art, sachets, decorative mixtures, and natural aromatic compositions where a strong, distinctive scent is desired. The fine powder form allows for easy blending into dry formulations and creative applications that rely on aromatic botanical materials.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
