Description: Boneset Herb C/S is produced from the dried aerial parts of Eupatorium perfoliatum, a perennial plant native to North America. The species grows in damp meadows and low-lying wetlands, forming tall stems that can reach 1–1.5 meters in height. It is known for its distinctive leaves, which appear joined at the stem, and for its clusters of small pale flowers that emerge later in the growing season.
Eupatorium perfoliatum develops upright, branching stems with long, narrow leaves arranged in opposite pairs. As the plant matures, it forms dense foliage with a textured surface that remains evident even after drying. When processed into cut-and-sifted form, the herb retains its fibrous structure and visible leaf fragments, making it well suited for decorative preparations, herbal craft blends, and educational displays where recognizable plant features are important.
The aerial plant parts are washed thoroughly to remove field residue and then dried using controlled warm-air or shade-drying methods to maintain structural integrity and reduce moisture. After drying, the herb is mechanically cut into smaller pieces and sifted to achieve consistency in size and texture. This extended processing helps maintain the plant’s natural appearance while producing a clean, uniform botanical material that is easy to incorporate into creative and craft-oriented formulations.
Uses: Boneset Herb C/S is used in botanical craft projects, layered jar displays, natural potpourri-style blends, resin art compositions, instructional herb kits, and decorative arrangements. Its combination of leafy pieces and fibrous stems adds texture and visual depth to nature-themed artwork, pressed-herb displays, and mixed botanical formulations. The distinctive structure of the plant provides a natural, wildcrafted appearance that works well in creative projects requiring dried plant material with recognizable botanical features.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
