Botanical Name: Betula Alba

Country of Origin: Bulgaria

Common Name: Birch Bark

English Name: Silver Birch Bark

Also Known As: Birch Bark Cut & Sifted, Silver Birch Bark C/S, Betula Bark C/S

Part Used: Dried bark of Betula species, cut and sifted

Description: Birch Bark C/S is produced from the dried bark of Betula species, deciduous trees native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. The bark is carefully harvested, cleaned to remove natural debris, and dried to preserve its natural colour and fibrous texture. Once dried, the bark is cut into uniform pieces and sifted to create a consistent botanical material suitable for decorative, craft, and formulation uses.

Betula trees produce thin, papery bark with a naturally textured surface. When cut and sifted, the bark retains its fibrous structure and subtle colour variations. The cut-and-sifted form provides manageable pieces that incorporate easily into botanical mixtures, visual craft displays, and educational projects.

Fresh bark is cleaned, dried using controlled warm-air or low-temperature methods to reduce moisture, and mechanically cut and sifted to remove dust. No additives, fillers, or processing agents are used, resulting in a pure plant-based ingredient composed solely of dried bark.

Uses: Birch Bark C/S is used in botanical craft projects, decorative jar displays, resin art, potpourri-style preparations, and educational herb kits. Its fibrous texture, natural tones, and uniform cut make it suitable for creative projects that require intact plant material.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
