Botanical Name: Astragalus membranaceus

Country of Origin: China

Also Known As: Astragalus Root Powder, Astragalus membranaceus Powder

Part Used: Dried roots of Astragalus membranaceus, finely milled into powder

Description: Astragalus Root Powder is made from the dried roots of Astragalus membranaceus, a perennial species native to northern China, Mongolia, and surrounding temperate regions. The powder is typically pale yellow to light beige, with a fine, soft texture that reflects the naturally fibrous character of the root. Milling the dried roots into a uniform powder creates a smooth, cohesive botanical material suitable for dry applications where even particle size is important.

Production begins with harvesting fully developed roots from cultivated plants. The roots are carefully washed to remove natural soil and field debris, then dried under controlled warm-air conditions to preserve their colour and structural integrity. Once thoroughly dried, the roots are ground using mechanical milling equipment and passed through fine sieves to obtain a consistent, free-flowing powder. No additives, colourants, or flavouring agents are introduced during production, resulting in a product composed entirely of botanical root material.

Uses: Astragalus Root Powder is used in crafting, botanical art, natural pigment experimentation, incense blending, resin work, and educational herb projects. Its fine texture allows it to mix smoothly into dry craft formulations, art materials, and plant-based creative blends.

The natural colour and consistent particle size make it suitable for decorative, instructional, and display-based applications.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
